O réu, soldado do Batalhão Naval, passou cédula falsa no botequim da Rua Visconde do Rio Branco, 65, ao caixeiro Francisco Ferreira Cardoso. A apreensão se deu pelo guarda civil Alexandre Marques Pinto, levando-a à Delegacia de Policia do 12o Distrito. O réu alegou ter recebido a cédula de um bilheteiro de cinematógrafo na Praça Onze de Junho, embora lá não houvesse cinema algum. Ação procedente.
